General English intake is on every Monday (except on Public Holidays when intake is on the Tuesday)
English for Academic Purposes is at the beginning of each 12 week course.

Minimum level of English language proficiency
General English courses are designed to accommodate students at different levels of English language proficiency. Therefore, there are no prerequisites for entry into General English courses.
Students will be placed into their General English course, based on their performance in the college placement test, and they will progress through the levels according to their performance. No other qualification or experience is necessary.

Students booked from overseas will be accepted to the English for Academic Purposes courses only on the basis of proven results of international language testing. However, a student who is booked for a GE course and who either reaches the requisite level in the ELICOS placement test or arrives with documentary evidence of an acceptable score in an international language test may be transferred into the English for Academic Purposes course on arrival.
All international students on a student visa are required to have paid for Private Medical Insurance before they arrive in Australia. This insurance is from an Australian provider and you will need to go to the college’s reception with your passport to confirm the policy on arrival.
You can go to any doctor, but you must take your insurance card with you to access the service you have paid for.
If you are sick you should see a doctor immediately. If you are in a homestay, your family will help you.
International students on other visas are strongly advised to arrange for health insurance for the duration of their stay in Australia.

I Procedure
SGSCC International reserves the right to cancel or postpone any courses prior to their scheduled commencement dates, should it be necessary. In these circumstances, if the course is postponed by more than four weeks and if a student is unable to enrol in a similar course at SGSCC International, all fees will be refunded. Refund of the fees will only be granted in accordance with the refund policy set out below.
II Full Refund of Tuition Fees
SGSCC International has a fee refund policy for situations where special circumstances exist. We will make a full refund of any course fees which have been paid in the following circumstances:
In this case SGSCC International, reserves the right to keep an administration charge of AUD 150 and where applicable, any agent’s fee. A request of refund in writing and proof of visa refusal, from the Australian Government must be sent to SGSCC International upon visa refusal. In this case a full refund of course money will be made within 28 days.
In this case a full refund of course money paid will be made within 14 days of the specified starting date or from the time the course ceases to be delivered in accordance with the refund requirements of the ESOS Act.
SGSCC International will make a partial refund of tuition fees in the following circumstances:

V Requests for Refund of Tuition Fees
A student who wishes to apply for a refund of tuition fees should do this in writing and state reasons and give relevant details by sending it to the Principal Administrator, SGSCC International, 81 Railway Street, Rockdale. NSW 2216.
VI Payment of Refund
All refunds for which a student is eligible will be forwarded, within 28 days to the person who paid the fees in his or her home country, unless the student is transferring to another institution in Australia (subject to visa conditions), in which case any refund may be sent to that institution. SGSCC International will provide the student with a statement detailing the calculation of the refund.
VII Approvals
All refunds must be approved by the Principal Administrator
Exemptions to any of the above cases may only occur where the student has extenuating or compassionate grounds as determined by the Principal Administrator.
“This agreement, and the availability of complaints and appeals processes, does not remove the right of the student to take action under Australia’s consumer protection laws.”

If the student meets entry requirements a Letter of Offer and an invoice are issued by SGSCC International.
2. Student signs the Enrolment Agreement.
3. Student makes a payment for the course according to the invoice.
SGSCC International issues a Confirmation of Enrolment (COE).
4. Student applies for a student visa.
5. Student starts their course.
On the first day of the course, student attends SGSCC International for an orientation & placement testing.
